How do I order/commission a pencil portrait?
Click on the order form button at the top of the page, complete the order form and pay a 20% deposit via the Stripe payment platform.
I will email you as soon as I can to confirm receipt of the order form and deposit. Please give me as much time as you can if you require a pencil portrait by a specific date. If you need a pencil portrait urgently, please complete my contact form with details and I will email you to advise if possible.
When pencil portrait(s) is complete, I will email you with an image attached to review and pay balancing payment.
On receipt of payment notification from PayPal, I will ship via Royal Mail 1st class post or next day special delivery for size A3 pencil portrait. For overseas orders, I will ship via Royal Mail International Track and signed. Portrait (s) to you via Royal Mail 1st class post.
How long does it take to complete the pencil portrait?
Portraits will take between 1 to 8 weeks to complete depending on workload, size and number of subjects or I will complete near to the date you require the pencil portrait(s).
What type of photograph do you require?
The photo I require can be either digital or conventional, the clearer and sharper the photograph you send to me, the better your portrait will be. Please send the original size photo and not a photo of a photo if possible.

How do I send a photograph to you?
Can I send separate photos for you to create one pencil portrait?
Yes, I will draw from separate photos of individuals or pets onto the drawing pad as a group setting.
What type of materials do you work with?
Pencil portraits are drawn on an extra smooth surface drawing pad with watercolour or studio pencils. Each completed pencil portrait is sprayed with gloss varnish which forms a colourless glass clear coating making it resistant to smearing and smudging.
What size drawing pad do you work with?
Size A6: 105 x 148mm
Size A5: 148 x 210mm
Size A4: 210 x 297mm
Size A3: 297 x 420mm
Do you take orders from overseas?
I am happy to accept overseas orders/commission and ship via Royal Mail International Tracked and signed.
How will my pencil portrait be delivered?
Pencil portrait will be delivered using Royal Mail or Royal Mail International.
How can I be sure my pencil portrait will not be damaged in the post?
Pencil portraits are inserted into hardback padded envelopes marked do not bend. Framed pencil portraits are securely packed into corrugated cardboard and marked fragile.
Will you frame my pencil portrait?
Yes, I do provide a framing service. Please go to my frames page for more information.
How much is postage?
Postage and packing are £5 in the UK for sizes A6, A5 and A4 pencil portrait, £8.25 for A3. For overseas order £9.50

Is a deposit required?
20% non-refundable deposit is required.
How do I pay for a pencil portrait?
I use Stripe to handle my online card payment transactions for a deposit payment via my order form and PayPal for balancing payments. Both are free and secure service, and you don’t need an account. When you complete my order form, you will pay the non-refundable 20% deposit via Stripe. A PayPal Pay Now button is also located on my payment page to make payments.
Will I get my photo back?
All photographs sent to me will be sent back to you in your parcel.
What if I do not like my pencil portrait when it arrives?
I am confident you will be satisfied with your pencil portrait; however, if you are not happy with your pencil portrait, you can send it back to me and receive a refund if I receive it within 5 days.
